How the recent stamp duty changes affect Tooting property

Housing (or lack of) was a hot topic in the 2017 Autumn Budget. Following reports that the number of young UK property owners has dropped from 59% to 38%, Mr. Hammond declared that, for first-time buyers, stamp duty would be axed with immediate effect for properties under £300,000 and, for those under £500,000, the levy will only be paid on the amount above £300,000.
