Faulty phone? Kaput kettle? Check out a FREE Restart Party!

Restart Party at Mushkil Aasaan, 222 Upper Tooting Road, SW17 7EW
6.30 to 9.30pm Wednesday 3rd December

Transition Town Tooting (TTT) are holding a community repair workshop with Restart, following September's successful event. The evening allows local residents to learn how to fix their broken electrical equipment – all for free.

TTT say that “people attending the event will learn how to fix all kinds of devices, take back control of their e-stuff, and never feel victim to obsolescence again! You bring your stuff and then explore how to fix and maintain it with one of the Restart team of volunteers. It's a whole new way of relating to your loved or neglected possessions - just in time for Christmas!”

Here are three crucial reminders from Restart to those who attend:

  1. Please arrive during the first TWO HOURS.
  2. Please bring devices charged AND their power leads/adapters.
  3. Please do not expect us to have spare parts or replacement mobile screens. This is not a free repair shop, it’s a pop-up community event! Often people attend twice, once to get advice on what part to buy and a second time to repair.

You can read TTT’s report of the September Tooting Restart party here and find out more details about December’s event here.

If you want to become part of a future Tooting Restart team of volunteers, then TTT invite you to chat with them at the event. You can also email transitiontowntooting@gmail.com with any queries.
