An application for the Tooting Constitutional Club to be turned into an asset of community value was submitted earlier this week.

However, this week the Tooting Development Company Limited has also put in two planning applications. Both are for variations of up to a 6 or 7 storey block of flats with some form of 'community' space at the back. The application is currently in the initial stages, but councillor Alaina MacDonald urges Tooting residents to let Wandsworth Council know about any concerns and objections to the proposals. The reference numbers are 2014/6760 and 2014/6753 – more details can be found on the Wandsworth Council website.

Councillor MacDonald was out in Tooting on Saturday 6^th December asking people to sign a petition to protect the club from demolishment. They obtained over 100 signatures in an hour. You can add your name to the petition here.
