Tooting and Balham Sea Cadets provided a helping hand at the checkouts to Sainsbury’s Nine Elms Temporary Store customers by bag-packing from Saturday 20th to Wednesday 24th December 2014.

£1012.07 was raised which will all go Tooting and Balham Sea Cadets to support the charity and help provide opportunities for their cadets.

The charity, situated in 89 Mellison Road, has been supported by Sainsbury’s Nine Elms for many years.

Katie Purcell, Training Officer said: “We had a great time helping pack Nine Elms customer’s shopping and would like to take the opportunity to thank Sainsbury’s for their support and helping to raise awareness of our charity.”

Store Manager Andy Robins added: “It’s always helpful to have support during the busy Christmas period, so we were delighted to have Tooting and Balham Sea Cadets help us out and we hope it helps to raise awareness of our partnership with them”.
