Help First Touch Bag Some Donations!
First Touch is enjoying its second year as the chosen 'charity of the year' for Sainsbury's in Tooting.
Staff members at Sainsbury's have undertaken various fundraising ventures for First Touch, the neonatal charity at St George's Hospital. On April 18th the store is hoping to raise more cash with a day of bag packing by volunteers in return for a donation to First Touch.
Anyone able to help should get in touch with Louise or Sarah at the charity, info@first-touch.org.uk. A one or two hour volunteering stint would be greatly appreciated!
Money raised will help to purchase 12 neopuffs for the baby unit. Neopuffs are used to help sick and premature babies to breathe. The cost of the 12 pieces of apparatus is £24,000.
Sarah Collins, Charity Director at First Touch, said, 'We are delighted to have the support of the wonderful staff at Sainsbury's in Tooting, and welcome volunteers to help us collect funds for the neonatal unit in April. Please help us make a huge difference to the tiniest patients at St George's Hospital.'
