Some Like It Hot at the 2015 Chilli Sauce Championships!
Chilli fans are cordially invited to the fourth annual Chilli Sauce Championships at The Wheatsheaf Pub in Tooting.
Contestants will be submitting their own homemade chilli sauces to be judged by the public. Attendees will be tasting sauces with influences from around the world, so expect to see flavours of India, Thailand, Jamaica and Africa.
There will also be a second judging category for chilli condiments, covering jams, pickles, chutneys and preserves.
If you don't like it fiery and flaming, there’s no need to be scared – it's not all about the heat. There will be a variety of sauces to sample, ranging from mild to nuclear!
There were THIRTY FIVE entries last year including the imaginatively-named Red Mist, Chilli Sunburn, Ginger Ninja, Mean Mr Mustard, Purple Haze, Fruit'n'Fire, Tootingkhamun and Screaming Mean Greens.
If you would like to enter a chilli sauce, or chilli pickle/chutney, please get in touch by emailing pete@ultrafonic.co.uk. There will be prizes and trophies for the top three winners in each category.
