This Saturday sees both Tooting & Mitcham United FC and Tooting Bec FC going for promotion and championship glory on the very last day of their seasons and they need your support to help them over the line!

This is the current state of play:

Tooting & Mitcham United

Tooting & Mitcham United will be playing Dorking Wanderers away in a match that will decide the fate of the Ryman South Division Championship.

The scenario is this: Tooting & Mitcham United are 3 points clear, so a win or a draw will guarantee them the title. They also have a superior goal difference and if Dorking win, then this tie-breaker will come into play. In fact, Dorking need to win by 5 goals or more to wrest the title from Tooting’s grasp. Unlikely, but by no means impossible.

If you’d like to attend the game, Dorking Wanderers play here which is about a three quarters of a mile walk away from Dorking railway station. All support will be most appreciated by the players and staff and it will hopefully be a memorable occasion. Kick-off is at 3pm.

Tooting Bec FC

A full ten levels below the Premier League in the English football pyramid, Tooting Bec play Virginia Water at home on the last day of the Surrey Elite Intermediate League to determine which will walk away as champions. Tooting Bec are currently a single point above Virginia Water and so just need a draw to clinch the title.

If you’d like to attend the game, Tooting Bec play at Imperial Fields – directions here. The players and staff would love your support. Kick-off is at 3pm.

So if you’re free, get yourself to one of those football grounds and let’s make it a Super Saturday for Tooting! And if you go along, post some photos on social media using #Tooting and we will share the best ones!
