Give your views on local health and care services

| by Tooting Newsie | Posted in News, Health & Fitness, Events

Healthwatch’s #ItStartsWithYou campaign continues in this month, encouraging more people to speak up about what they like and what could be improved about local care in Tooting and Wandsworth.

Local residents have told Healthwatch Wandsworth that it should be a priority for local people to have their say about GP services in 2017.

This week, Healthwatch England will publish findings that although most people are interested in sharing their experiences with GPs to help improve services, most never have. The number one reason people said they have never given feedback is that they simply don't know how to.

Every experience counts. Healthwatch Wandsworth want to hear from you about GPs and other local health and care services.

You can share your views in a number of ways:

On Wednesday 27th September 2017, Healthwatch Wandsworth’s regular public meeting will include a session on how to get the most from GP appointments. Come along to hear updates about local services, ask questions, and feedback to people who can influence local health and social care services.

They also try to make sure people have their say about current local health and care topics in our consultation surveys. This week is National Eye Health Week and they want to hear from local residents how important eye health and vision is for them and what makes a difference to good eye health. According to the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) half of all sight loss is avoidable and many people have already told Healthwatch Wandsworth about how poor eye health and sight loss affects their daily lives. Share your thoughts in their survey:
