Furzedown Low Carbon Zone save residents over £10,000
The Furzedown Low Carbon Zone (FLCZ) have been celebrating as they delivered their 170th LED lightbulb which collectively will save residents over £10,000 and 35 tonnes of CO₂ over the lifetime of the bulb.
FLCZ treasurer Giles Read said, “LEDs are such an easy way to save money and lowering carbon emissions and it’s great to see locals taking them up. Breaking £10,000 savings and 35 tonnes of CO₂ saved is a great achievement we’re really proud of and hopefully this will encourage more locals to switch to LED lighting.”
FLCZ are offering free GU10 LED bulbs to anyone in receipt of a means tested benefit on a first come first served basis – please email furzedownlowcarbonzone@gmail.com for more details.
