The Total Motion Aquathlon returns to Tooting Bec Lido!
The Total Motion Aquathlon returns to the iconic Tooting Bec Lido, the largest freshwater swimming pool in the UK, on Saturday 19th May 2018 for the 4th edition of this increasingly popular event.
The Aquathlon will begin with a staggered start to the 810m, 9 length swim of Tooting Bec Lido, and followed by a run of 3 loops of Tooting Common, totalling 7.3km. The Aquathlon will be chip timed, allowing you to receive times and splits immediately after you finish. Entrants may participate Aquathlon as a relay team with one person swimming and one running.
Each year, the Aquathlon has raised money for The Ickle Pickles Children’s Charity, but the event is expanding by adding other local charities – Royal Trinity Hospice and St George’s Hospital Charity along with Ellenor’s Hospice and The Samaritans in 2018. Fundraisers should contact their favoured charity from the event webpage for free or discounted entry to the Aquathlon.
Having successfully made its debut in the BTF VonCrank Senior League in 2017 we are proud to once again confirm that The Total Motion Aquathlon will return as a fixture in 2018. Along with our local event partners The Clapham Chasers Running & Triathlon Club and Body Logic Health, based in Battersea we are really looking forward to welcoming members of triathlon clubs from around the capital alongside fundraisers and those competitors looking for a personal challenge.
The 2017 event sold out quickly, so be sure to register here for 2018 – there’s even a 20% January discount for that added incentive!
