Whether you are a mum, a dad or a babysitter in Tooting, there is plenty to do locally. We asked some of our local babysitters to let us know their favourite places to go to in Tooting.
Tooting Common
Come rain or shine, we all love the common! The pond, the playground, the grounds, the café and the Lido are all top spots with children.
Afternoon tea in Tartine
Nothing better than a teddy bear’s picnic – even on a rainy day you can visit the super kid-friendly Tartine. For those of you with older children, you might indulge and treat yourself and your child to an afternoon tea!
Play corner in Deelight
We love the Deelight bakery on Ritherdon Road. Their food is delicious, the staff are always nice and the little play corner in the back is a good place for toddlers and babies to play around.
Sunday Kids Table is the best thing since sliced bread as they say. The pub has entertainers for the children, so you can relax and have a nice Sunday roast.
Swimming pool, soft play, kids’ parties and activities from 6 months onwards. If all else fails, TLC is always a good spot to go to in order to release some energy.
All the fabulous playgroups
Thanks to Rebecca Wilson and some amazing mums, www.tootingbaby.co.uk has an extensive listing of all the available and active playgroups in SW17 – you’ll find something that works for you.
