The 6th Annual Chilli Sauce Championships will be taking place in Balham next month!

The competition, formerly held in Tooting, will take place at The Balham Bowls Club, 1pm to 5pm on Saturday 21st April.

Contestants will be submitting their own homemade chilli sauces to be judged by the public. The sauces will have influences from around the world, so expect to see flavours of India, Thailand, Jamaica and Africa. Entries so far this year include Medusa, Hot Turk, Celtic Spice, White Widow and The Hooligan. 

There will also be a second judging category for chilli condiments. This category will cover jams, pickles, chutneys and preserves. 

Last time there were over FIFTY entries between the two categories. If you would like to enter a chilli sauce or condiment, you can register via the website. There will be prizes and trophies for the top three winners in each category.
