Half-term is nearly here! Stuck for something to do with the kids? Fear not... Rachel has put together a brilliant list of suggestions!

Strings Club & Music Discovery Day
Saturday 26th May 1pm – 2pm.
Free. Suitable for ages 4-11 years.

Free, fun workshop for children to try out playing stringed instruments, ukulele and guitar. Ends with a short group performance for mums and dads.

Beat exam stress!
Tuesday 29th May 10am – 11am
£9 per person. For ages 11 and above.
Learn strategies and techniques to successfully cope with the pressure of exams and revision at this stress-busting workshop run by Leigh Stutchbury of Champs Academy. Limited places. Call/text Leigh on 07709645115 to book your place.

Grammar Quest, Night or Knight?
Tuesday 29th May 4pm – 5pm
Free. For ages 7-9 years. Booking essential.
Join Explore Learning; go on a knight’s quest through the wonderful world of grammar. Call Tooting Children’s Library on 0208 767 05429 to book a place.

Under-the-sea Stories and Craft!
Friday 1st June, 2:30pm – 4:00pm
Free, drop in, for all ages. Stories followed by Craft.  Join us for a fun afternoon of stories, songs and craft all about the sea and sea creatures.



Tooting Common Maps, Tooting Bec Lido Pavilion
Saturday 26th May 10am – 2pm. No booking required. Free.
Part of the Wandsworth Heritage Festival 2018 & organised by the Tooting Common Heritage Project, view a collection of historical maps and drawings relating to parks and green open spaces in Wandsworth. The focus is Tooting Common but a selection of maps from other green open spaces in the borough will also be made available. See website for further info.

Multi-activity camps for children aged 4–14 years.  Activ Camps provide innovative and inclusive variations of traditional games and sports. Booking via website.

Enjoy Europe's largest outdoor pool while the sun (hopefully) shines. There's also a fantastic pool for little ones and a great cafe.

All week. Fun sessions for kids aged 3-4yrs through to teens.

Junior Golf Camp, Burntwood Lane (020 8871 2468)
Tuesday 29 May – Friday 1 June (9am – 3pm) £45 per day
Tuesday 29 May – Friday 1 June (9am – 12pm) £30 per day
Whether your child is a beginner to the game of golf or a progressive golfer, camps are designed to improve their enjoyment and ability under professional supervision. Includes golf coaching, daily fun competitions, skill challenges and prizes. Call or email to book.

Sewing Workshop For Children, Furzedown (07824 715917) 
29th & 31st May 10am – 12pm. 
Alison runs sewing workshops for children, mostly involving hand sewing and creating a variety of fun items such as key rings, small pillows, lavender bags, decorations and bookmarks. 2 hours.

Children’s Art Classes, Love Art, Tooting Market
Tuesday 29th May & Friday 1st June
11am – 11.30am. Kids of all ages. 
Plant Pot Painting – to celebrate the beautiful sunshine, create your own designs and then plant seeds to take home and grow.

'Signs of Welcome' workshop 4pm-5.30pm. Transition Town Tooting continue their series of creative, fun and thoughtful 'Signs of Welcome' workshops with Caras. All are welcome to join for a free, facilitated and fun creative crafts workshop using re-purposed materials - they will provide everything! Create your message of welcome to people new to the community. You can take your sign home or leave it with them where they will exhibit it during Refugee week in June.
