Grants of up to £5,000 are now available to Tooting and Balham-based organisations who help people in need and distress in the local area.

The Thrale Almshouse Charity, which supports community organisations in South London, is making around £40,000 available to good causes this year and has just begun inviting applications for grants.

The charity’s catchment area also includes parts of Lambeth and Southwark, but this year they are prioritising applications from SW17 and SW12.

Full details and a simple application form is available at www.thralealmshouses.org.uk, or you can email info@thralealmshouses.org.uk. The closing date for applications is 3 December.
