Tootsmas bells, Tootmas bells, Tootsmas all the way...

Tootsmas bells, Tootmas bells, Tootsmas all the way...

Jingle your bells off, because Tootsmas is returning on the 8th and 9th of December for a very festive food and drink affair!

Now in its third year, Tooting’s very own winter fair – little sibling to Tooting’s epic summer celebration, Tootopia – is back with a dusting of Tootsmassy magic!

Tootsmas Saturday kicks off with a crafty workshop hosted by local charity Wandsworth Oasis. After you’ve made your wares, take a hunger-induced stroll to the Street Food Takeover where hot, gooey winter eats from the likes of Da Ja Streetfood, Cheeky Burger, Crust Issues, and Simmons Crêperie take centre stage. Mac & cheese with meatballs anyone? Nik’s Kitchen has you covered (not literally!). Wrap your mitts around mulled drinks from the winter bar and sway to the merriest of soundtracks.

Hear merry memories from Tooting’s golden years as Ken Roe and Nigel Pitt from the Cinema Theatre Association lead Saturday and Sunday tours of the only Grade 1 listed bingo hall in the world – the former Granada Theatre, now Buzz Bingo. See The Hall of Mirrors and hear about the Christmas concerts that wowed Tootopians in its glory years.

Tooting Tram & Social hosts the Tiny Dancers Festive Family Rave, with glitter cannons, confetti, and an old school DJ playing the best in Christmas party nostalgia. Sunday sees some of London’s top makers selling their wares at the Handmade Fair – shop limited edition prints, ceramics and art or bag something for yourself alongside the angelic sounds of Tooting’s very own Real Voices Choir. Festive arts, crafts and cooking workshops come courtesy of Love Art and Cheeky Kitchen. Love a bit of 90’s Christmas nostalgia? Get cosy at a screening of Home Alone with uber-cosy blankets and mulled drinks at Tooting Tram & Social.

Alongside the wintry fun, Tootsmas’ Foodie Trail and Thirst Quest invites you to tread Tooting’s culinary corners through a host of themed activities, workshops and tastings. Restaurants involved this year include the mighty Daddy Bao with their coconut custard Bao, made specially for the festival whilst at Craft TootingTom Matthews returns with his amazing food and beer supper club – a storming success at this summer’s Tootopia.

For those seeking a cool & classy experience, Unwined host their Speed Wine Tasting sessions: for just a £5 (with £5 off a bottle of wine after class) you’ll go on a journey through wine, sampling the very best of seasonal tipples – choose from Festive Fizz or Festive Flavours.

Festivalgoers can find all the information they need on the Tootopia website. There, you’ll find event listings, venue addresses, ticketed events along with food & drink trail information.

Tootopia and Tootsmas are festivals founded in 2012 and rebranded in 2015 by Antic London to promote Tooting’s vibrant food and drink scene.
