Will Robson with Subject Six, now on sale at Wandle Tree in Tooting Market

Congratulations to Tooting’s Will Robson, who’s just published his first novel, Subject Six, available now at Wandle Tree in Tooting Market.

FCM Publishing released Subject Six in November 2018, and Will had this to say about his book...

“Since the first stories of beings with special powers gripped our imagination, we’ve all been fascinated by the possibility of an alien race or genetic mutants with abilities far greater than our own. But what if someone already walking among us possessed such things? How would the world react when they were eventually revealed?

“I’ve always been drawn to novels that don’t stick to one genre. It might make them hard to define but for me that makes it more exciting and with Subject Six I want to appeal to people who love thrillers and those who traditionally turn to ‘literary fiction’. Superheroes are all over the cinemas and TV screens at the moment, time to get some in books!”

In this fast moving thriller, Will brings the superhero genre into the literary world. The book takes the form of a piece of gonzo journalism written by a reporter who gets sucked into the world of this new superhero – and who uses interview transcripts, social media messages and first-hand testimony to reveal what happens next. This is Serial meets Iron Man, a page-turner that also asks questions about what we believe, and why we believe, in society today.

Publisher Taryn Johnston says:

“This is without a doubt, a book to grip the reader from the beginning. Subject Six delves into the best and worst of human nature, whilst asking whether we’re really ready to deal with abilities we can’t hope to understand. Will Robson delivers a novel that keep the reader on the edge of their seat.”

You can pick up a copy of Subject Six at Wandle Tree (until 20 January) in Tooting Market or on Amazon.
